Honors Project
Because this is an honors course, you will be completing a honors project over the course of this semester. More information will follow.
Current Event Reports
Current event reports will be assigned every week and are to be turned in on Friday. They will be completed on the form given to you in class. Each report must include the original article or web link used as a source. Failure to include the original article will result in an automatic loss of fifteen points.

-notebook paper
-highlighters
-pens/pencials
-headphones or earbuds (we will be doing a lot of web-based activities that will require sound)
Cell Phone Policy
Cell phone use will be allowed in class FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. When using your phone in class, it must be connected to the CMS wireless network and the cell phones awake sign must be flipped on the front board. If you need your phone for a family reason, see Ms. Boltz before class on the day you need it and we will make arrangements.
Edmodo
We will be using an education social network this semester called Edmodo. You will be able to find class updates, assignments, tutoring schedules, reviews for tests and quizzes, and occasional funny historical facts. It also has a direct message feature you can use to contact me if you have a question about homework, a project, or a test. I will do my best to get back to you the night of if you message me before 9:00pm.
Tutoring
Tutoring will be available every Monday afternoon after school or by appointment.
